"So I received a call from an agent on 1/20/25 stating he could save me money on my car insurance if I switched from progressive. So I agreed because the policy was about $40 less a month than what I was paying. So I received all documents and ID cards and driving device. Then on Monday 3/3 I received a letter from the DMV stating my license will be suspended on 3/13/25! I was completely shocked! It stated I haven't had insurance since Progressive was cancelled. I called Carl Nguyen's office to find out what's going on. After giving them my VIN number multiple times over the phone to a rep named Matt, still couldn't get the VIn correct. I had to go take a picture of it on the car which was the same number I had provided many times. Then he said someone messed up the vin and they had the wrong car on the policy so that's why it was never registered by the DMV. Then the original agent Daniel called and said he was working on a new policy and asked if I wanted the same coverage as what was on the wrong vehicle I said yes because I assumed Daniel had given me the right coverage I wanted since the beginning. Then I get a call from a lady named Annetta and she went over the coverage and they decided on their own to give me basic coverage on a brand new and pick other coverage I did not want. So then I realized Daniel had me paying for basic coverage on the wrong vehicle for almost two months. Then I was asked for mileage proof, registration proof and proof of the suspension letter from the DMV. All this because THEY messed up a VIN! It doesn't make sense since this is what they are suppose to be experts in. Also both Matt and Annetta weren't available when I needed to speak back to them which I should have been priority in this situation. Then I spoke with a nice understanding gentleman named Evan. He seemed to care about what was happening. I asked MANY MANY times for a refund for the two months payments I made and was denied that every time even though I WAS NEVER COVERED BY INSURANCE ACCORDING TO THE DMV AND WASN'T COVERED BY FULL COVERAGE EITHER! I could have lost my car and they would not have done anything to help me even though this was a complete screw up by a whole company. Evan spoke to Carl and he refused to give me a refund!!!! Then on Wednesday I spoke to Evan and he quoted me and everything seemed like it was going better. The quote ended up being less than what I've been paying for two months!!!! At this point I asked again for a refund because now I have been paying more than i was suppose to. But instead Matt called to asked me for payment to start a new policy even though I paid two months for ABSOLUTELY NOTHING and OVERPAID. He then said the company will take over 3 weeks to send me a refund and they will DETERMINE how much they owe me. I've had a a license for 30 years and no insurance ever messed up a vehicle. This is the first time in 30 years I have received a letter from the Dmv stating that my license will be suspended due to not having insurance. It's mid afternoon on Wednesday and I contacted State Farm since Monday and still no email with a new policy and no refund. I WILL NEVER RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY. THERE IS NOTHING BUT INCOMPENTENT AGENTS AND OWNER WHO WILL NOT DO THE RIGHT THING. I still don't have insurance and my license will be suspended 3/13/25. Thanks State Farm"
